So the hardest part in my new exploration in art has not been actually creating the art, but photographing and documenting the results. I know – you probably think most artists are tearing their hair out over the creative process, but for me, the creative process has been fairly painless compared to trying to photograph glass with proper lighting and not seeing myself reflected in the artwork.
There were light boxes and windows and backdrops for the art, backdrops for the camera, special lenses, a remote control… I tried all sorts of things to try and get a picture that would accurately represent my paintings on glass. And I finally think I got it – randomly and blessedly, on my front porch, hunched on the stoop like a demented cat determined to get its prey.
They aren’t perfect. They are a smidge crooked because I wasn’t shooting straight on, but the light and color look good. So please, tell me what you think-
These four are “O.S. 1-4″. They were my impressions of the BP oil spill and if you want a better look at them (or wish to purchase!), they are currently hanging up at Tout de Suite Cafe in Algiers Point. I’ve also added them to Mojofrog Studio’s website.
The Crown and Anchor had an Anti-Valentine’s Day party on Saturday and my contribution were these Blackhearted Cards.
Other cards included “Roses are Red. Lady Gaga’s a hit. Now that we’re thru, can I get back my sh*t?” and “500 Days of Summer got nothing on you. You’re so f*cking evil, you did it in two.” along with a bunch of rhymes about VD. They were enjoyed by the Pub patrons.
Just another of my many talents!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Apparently, something got moved somewhere and labeled improperly and that was the cause of yesterday’s TD’s. Ok – take two-

So I am trying to upload an image of the next Paint in the Point, which is on Thursday, February 24, 2011. It’s a lovely picture of a French Quarter street lamp with Mardi Gras beads on it. And I wish I could show it to you in this post, however, Technical Difficulties…
I CAN give you the information about the next class and a link to Facebook, where there is an image.

This blog used to be black and white.
It has clearly undergone a transformation. I think it’s a reflection of myself and what’s going on these days.
So what is going on?
Well, I’m now using Sister Mojo to complement Mojofrog Studio. If you haven’t seen the website, go check it out. It’s my polished and mature presentation of my work.
And Sister Mojo? Not so much. It’s where the action is. Want to know the latest up to the minute goings on? Want to know what classes are being offered and when? Want to find out how Charlie and Zozo are contributing to my artistic process? This is where you’ll find all that.
So stay tuned – there’s all sorts of fun coming soon!
